The problem

Apps teach a thousand things badly. You need one thing, repeated.

Most language apps scatter your attention across vocabulary, listening, streaks, and badges, and the one grammar structure that keeps breaking your sentences never gets enough reps to stick. You finish a lesson, immediately forget the case ending, and start the next lesson anyway.

GrammarWerk works the other way. One topic. One level. Thirty fresh sentences. Read, translate in your head, tap to check. The structure being drilled is the only thing highlighted on screen. Everything else stays out of the way until the pattern is automatic.

How it works

Three taps to a drill.

STEP 01

Choose a direction

Set your language pair: the one you speak and the one you're learning. EN, DE, and ES in both directions.

English ⇄ German
STEP 02

Set a level ceiling

Every sentence is pinned to the top of this band. Pick your CEFR ceiling and nothing drifts above it.

A2–B1

STEP 03

Pick one topic

Choose from 108 German grammar points, or 292 across all three languages. Tap Generate. Done.

The ceiling

Hard enough to learn. Never hard enough to quit.

Set a CEFR band and every generated sentence is pitched at the top of it: the kind of sentence that challenges without ambushing you. No difficulty spikes, no sentences you have no business reading yet. All thirty sit at your ceiling. Familiar enough to follow. Hard enough to grow.

Read the sentence. Translate it in your head. Then tap. The highlighter marks exactly the structure you're practicing.

Self-Test

Check yourself. Honestly.

After a drill, Self-Test pulls ten sentences from your practice pool and asks you to translate them cold. You grade your own answer: got it, or missed it. No auto-grader penalising your word order or ignoring a correct paraphrase.

Completion is shown as a filled or hollow mark: solid for got-it, a hollow ring for missed. The yellow highlighter stays reserved for grammar. It never marks a score. Try the three-question version on the right.

Why it works

Built for focus.

âœČ

One highlighter, one job

The yellow mark only ever shows the structure being drilled. Nothing else competes for your eye.

Explained in your language

Every topic comes with a plain-language explainer in your native language, plus a note on exactly what trips up speakers of your language, the contrast a generic course skips over.

Curriculum-backed topics

292 grammar points built from established CEFR standards: Instituto Cervantes for Spanish, Goethe-Institut for German. Every topic traces back to a real curriculum.

★

Save what you want to revisit

Bookmark sentences that catch you out. Save whole drills to replay later. Your practice stays yours.

⟳

Endless fresh sentences

Tap "New set" and get 30 more for the same topic and level. You never memorize the deck.
